NOTE ABOUT THE RECIPE:

Mayonnaise, known as mayo is basically a sauce or can also be used as dip for french fries, nachos.It can also be used as a dressing for sandwiches, burgers etc.
The origin of Mayonnaise is Spain and France.
A traditional Mayonnaise is made from raw eggs, vinegar and olive oil. The basic ingredients are added in a bowl and using a whisk its beaten for a specific time because of which some emulsification happens and it forms a thick consistency. As there is a saying that raw eggs are not so good for consuming, In this recipe we have replaced egg with milk.
A home made product is always a right pick. Made this Mayonnaise with the left over milk and it turned out to be a success.  I used it as a dressing for the vegetable sandwich and also to a make a chili – mayo sauce which will be used in the burgers.
So I am sharing the recipe with you. Do it try it at home and have it without any guilt.

BRIEF RECIPE : VERSION 1

IN MIXER - MILK - OIL -SALT - PEPPER -LEMON JUICE.

INGREDIENTS:
  • CHILLED MILK - 1 CUP
  • OIL - 1 CUP
  • LEMON JUICE - (1 -2) TBSPN
  • SALT- AS PER TASTE
  • PEPPER - 1/2 TSPN

METHOD PREPARATION :
  • In a mixer add in the chilled milk , oil and 1 tbspn of lemon juice and beat it in a mixer in high speed for 2-3 mins.
  • The milk turns out to be thicker, keep adding the lemon juice little by little until you get the desired consistency.
  • Add in the salt and pepper to it.
  • Yummy Mayonnaise/ Mayo is ready to serve with sandwich, burger, french fries and much more.


BRIEF RECIPE : VERSION 2

IN MIXER - MILK - OIL -SALT - PEPPER -LEMON JUICE- GARLIC .


INGREDIENTS:



  • CHILLED MILK - 1 CUP
  • OIL - 1 CUP
  • LEMON JUICE - (1 -2) TBSPN
  • SALT- AS PER TASTE
  • PEPPER - 1/2 TSPN
  • GARLIC CLOVES - 4 (FINELY CHOPPED)
METHOD PREPARATION :
  • In a mixer add in the chilled milk , oil, garlic chopped and 1 tbspn of lemon juice and beat it in a mixer in high speed for 2-3 mins.
  • The milk turns out to be thicker, keep adding the lemon juice little by little until you get the desired consistency.
  • Add in the salt and pepper to it.
  • Yummy Mayonnaise/ Mayo is ready to serve with sandwich, burger, french fries and much more.
DO TRY IT AT HOME , YOUR KIDS ARE GONNA LUVVV IT.

Just a tip:
  • Do not add the add and pepper in the beginning.
  • Don't add the lemon juice on the top of the milk, coz the milk may curdle.
  • Add the milk, pour the oil and then the lemon juice.
