RECIPE NOTE:
Onion is the widely used vegetable everywhere.Most of the Indian recipes are made using onions. There are alot of health benefits as well.
Onions are very helpful in building immunity. Using onion we can make many variety of Gravy, thuvaran and much more.
In this blog I have shared with you a recipe known as ONION THEEYAL. I am not sure about what it is actually called. But it is known to us as ONION THEEYAL.
Whenever we find no time in making any side dish for Chappathi, Onion theeyal will be our choice.
It is just the onion, sauted along with some spice powders.It is a instant side dish that goes really well with Chappathi.
Here is the recipe, it is so simple.

BRIEF RECIPE:
In a Kadai - Oil - Onion - Chilli Powder - Garam Masala- Cumin Powder - Coriander Powder -Salt - Sugar-Fry - Serve.
RECIPE NAME: ONION THEEYAL
RECIPE TYPE: SIDE DISH
SERVES:2
CUISINE TYPE:INDIAN
PREP TIME: 10 MINS
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 large Onion ( Chopped)
- 1/2 tspn Chilli powder
- 1/2 tspn Garam masala
- 1/2 tspn Cumin powder
- 1/2 tspn Coriander powder
- Salt as per taste
- a pinch of sugar
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a Kadai, Add in oil.
- Once the oil is cooked, add in the onion to it.
- Saute for a Minute.
- Add in the spice powders to it.
- Add in the sugar.
- Saute it until the raw smell of the spice powders goes off.
- Wait until the onions are soft and golden brown.
- Put off the stove.
- Tasty Onion theeyal is ready to have.
Serve it along with Chappathi/Curd rice.
This is actually not a very tuff recipe. But its a Tasty recipe and goes really well with Chappathi. Try it and Give your comments.
