BRIEF RECIPE:
SOAK ALMONDS- GRIND TO A PASTE- BOIL MILK -ADD ALMOND PASTE-SUGAR-SAFFRON-CARDAMOM POWDER-GARNISH-SERVE HOT OR CHILLED.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
- ALMONDS- 10-12 (SOAKED AND PEELED)
- ALMONDS-4 (CHOPPED)
- SAFFRON- A PINCH (SOAKED IN WARM MILK)
- MILK- 4 CUPS
- SUGAR- AS PER TASTE
- CARDAMOM POWDER- 1 TEASPOON
DETAILED RECIPE:
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
- Peel of the skin of almonds and add them in mixer, add in some milk or water and grind it to a smooth paste.
- Take a thick bottomed pan and add in the milk and allow it for a good boil for about 15 mins.
- Now add in the almond paste, sugar and cook for some more time.
- Now the milk turns to be a bit thicker, add in the soaked saffron and the cardamom powder.
- Boil for about 1 min or two and put off the stove.Garnish with chopped almonds.
- Serve it hot or chilled. YUMMY homemade Badam milk is ready to DRINK.
JUST A TIP CORNER:
ADD SOME CONDENSED MILK INSTEAD OF SUGAR TO IT, AS IT WOULD MAKE IT EVEN MORE CREAMY AND TASTY
