BRIEF RECIPE:

TAKE COOKER-OIL-WHOLE GARAM MASALA-FENNEL SEEDS-MINT LEAVES-ONION-GINGER GARLIC PASTE-TOMATOES -SALT-SPICE POWDERS-CURD-WATER-SOAKED RICE-2 WHISTLES-SERVE WITH RAITA.



INGREDIENTS NEEDED
  • ONION-3 LARGE SIZED
  • TOMATO-3 LARGE SIZED
  • OIL-3 TBSP
  • CINNAMON-2 SMALL PIECES
  • CARDAMOM-3
  • CLOVES-4
  • BAY LEAF-1
  • GINGER GARLIC PASTE- 2 TBSP
  • CHILLI POWDER -2 TBSP
  • TURMERIC POWDER-1/2 TSPN
  • GARAM MASALA POWDER-1 1/2 TSPN
  • CORIANDER POWDER
  • SALT - AS REQUIRED
  • CURD -3 TBSP
  • MINT LEAVES-ONE CUP
  • Rice- 2 CUPS(Regular White Rice-soaked for 15mins)
  • WATER- 4 CUPS


METHOD OF PREPARATION:
  •  Add oil in a cooker. Once it is heated add in cinnamon, bay leaf,cardamom,cloves into it.
  •  After a minute add in the mint leaves into it.
  •  Add in the chopped onions into it and fry until golden brown.
  •  Now add in the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes off.
  •  Add in the chopped tomatoes, add in some salt for the tomatoes to cook fast.
  •  Once the tomatoes have cooked soft and juicy, Add in all the spice powders and saute until the raw smell goes off.
  •  Add in the curd to it.Wait for 2-3mins (or until the oil seperates).
  •  Add in the water and wait till it boils.
  •  Now put in the soaked rice in to it, after 5 mins put on the whistle and leave it for 2 whistles.
  •  Put the cooker off and rest it for 5mins.
  •  Yummy and tasty TOMATO BIRYANI is ready to serve WITH RAITA.
