Chicken 65 is a spicy, deep-fried chicken dish originating from
Hotel Buhari, Chennai, India, as an entrée, or quick snack. The flavour
of the dish can be attributed to red chillies, but the exact set of
ingredients for the recipe can vary.Although Chicken 65 is well established as being the invention of A. M. Buhari of the Buhari Hotel chain, its popularity as a dish has spawned several myths about its origin.

Just like everyone I love Chicken 65 recipe. But everytime when I try making this recipe it turns up to be a failure coz. i try to replicate it in the Hotel style.
After trying several recipes I ended up with this recipe. This recipe was a surprise to me. When everone in my family tried it everybody loved it.
And to my surprise it tasted like the hotel style Chicken 65 recipe. They add the color powder for that reddish bright color but i didn't use it.
Other than that all other ingredients are added.

RECIPE NAME : HOTEL STYLE CHICKEN 65
RECIPE TYPE : STARTER
SERVES : 4
CUISINE TYPE :INDIAN
PREP TIME : 1 HR (mariantion) + 15 MINS (cook time)
BRIEF RECIPE:
In a Bowl -Chicken pieces - Chilli powder - Turmeric powder - Coriander Powder - Garam masala - Cumin Powder - Turmeric - Chicken 65 Masala - Ginger Garlic Paste - Egg - Maida - Rice flour - Corn Flour - Salt - Lemon - Curry leaves -Marinate - Heat oil - Add chicken pieces - fry till cooked - Serve hot.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 kg Chicken (cleaned and washed)
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbspn Chilli powder
- 2 tbspn Garam masala powder
- 2 tbspn Coriander powder
- 1 tbspn Cumin powder
- 1/2 tspn Turmeric powder
- 1 tbspn Ginger Garlic paste
- 2 tbspn Rice flour
- 2 tbspn Corn flour
- 2 tbspn Maida
- 1 tbspn Chicken 65 Masala ( store bought )
- 1/2 Lemon juice
- Curry leaves - a bunch
- Oil - For deep frying
- Salt as per taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a large bowl add in the Chicken pieces, Ginger Garlic, Spice powders, Rice flour, Maida,Salt and Egg.
- Mix them well , Add in the curry leaves and do not add the Corn flour now.
- Let it Marinate for about an hour.
FOR FRYING:
- In a kadai, Pour in the oil for deep frying.
- Let the oil get heated up.
- Meanwhile take the marinated Chicken and add the Corn flour to it.Mix well.
- Now Add the Chicken pieces one by one to it and fry till try turn crispy and the bubbles stop.
- Strain the chicken pieces.
- Serve them Hot along with Lemon and some Onion Slices.
Yummy and Tasty HOTEL STYLE CHICKEN 65 is ready to eat.

JUST A TIP !!!!!!!!
- Try to use tender chicken pieces.
- Make sure that the chicken is well marinated.
- Do not over use the flour, else the chicken turns to be sticky and hard.
